Forgot password/ can’t unlock phone

  1. Turn off the phone 

    -Hold the power button and the volume button together 

    -Power off 

  2. Put the iPhone into recovery mode 

    -Plug the phone into the computer

    -Immediately hold the Side button

    -Keep holding it

    -Stop only when you see a picture of a cable/computer screen

  3. Open Apple Devices or finders 

On the computer:

  • Mac: open Finder

  • Windows: open Apple Devices for Windows or iTunes

  • Press “Restore” 

  • Click Restore

  • Wait for the phone to erase and reinstall iPhone software

  • Set the iPhone up again

After restarting:

  • Choose language

  • Connect to Wi-Fi

  • Sign in with the Apple ID previously used on the phone
